Polyester Premixes

A premix is an intermediate product in production of goods from dispersedly filled polymer composites, which corresponds to a pasty mixture of a liquid thermoreactive binding substance (usually an unsaturated polyester resin), chopped strands (usually chopped glass strands), a mineral dispersion filler and different additives.

The primary components are thoroughly mixed in mixers. The fibre filler is added the last to decrease the degree of its stress rupture. Finished goods are made from premixes by press moulding and injection.

Due to their high flow, high drying rate, as well as high level of insulating properties and physical-mechanical indicators polyester premixes are widely used in production of different details in electrical engineering industry and other branches of industry.

Premixes are characterized by a low shrinkage and a high drying rate which ensures their marketable state, accuracy of the dimension of the details, as well as high performance of production of these details. The details are exploited at a temperature from – 60˚C to + 130˚C.

The molding capacity of premixes persists for 4 months.
